An unexpected hiatus
Wow, it's been a while. We've all kinda been finishing up school and dealing with issues with work, so we took an unplanned hiatus. Not that anyone reads this thing, but sorry about that! We are, however, planning stuff with getting the final stages of our prep work done, so we'll be filming before you know it. Stay tuned for more updates!

It's so humidddd.
....okay. XD so I got distracted the other night cause I was playing Portal 2 with my friend Dan, so I totally forgot to type out what my dream was. I also forget what it was in the first place, so there goes that theory. I've had a lot of dreams about Portal 2 lately. Ah well. I noticed that I'm one of those weird people that actually remembers their dreams in vivid detail, like the colors of the room and how I changed from one character in my dream to the next.
It's so humid outsideeeee. I cannot even stand it. No, it's not even the heat/humidity so much as it's how much hotter it is indoors than it is outdoors. And I live on the top floor of a duplex, so not only does the heat rise, but I get the extra heat from the sun beating on the roof all day like a bongo drum.
So, a little bit more about my friends and I, you ask? Well, I know you didn't actually ask, but here goes the story anyway. Well, ya see now... well, to be honest none of us really remember when we all met. XD We just know that we all met in high school at some point during the 07-08 year, my senior year and mostly everyone else's junior year. I was a year older and dated (still do) one of the guys, named Bill. We all would have silly escapades, even after high school (Becca, Kelly and Ed all go to Temple together) and Kelly and Bill and I live near each other, so we still do our best to keep in touch. I also had a couple classes with Becca's sister, Vickie, who is also involved in all this nonsense. All of the youngin's and I would come over Becca's place and Vickie didn't really know anyone but me so I tried talking to her and junk, getting her involved. It kinda worked, but then when she started playing Left 4 Dead 2 and other games with everyone else, she then joined our gang. Oh, video games, how you connect people together... But anyway, Becca's had this Hybrid 5 video comedy group thing sincebirth she was a kid, so when we all heard about the videos, we all wanted to join in on the fun, too. The rest is, well, on the Hybrid5 site.
We've done a couple little things here and there, but nothing quite as big as we're planning with TPE. I'm really excited, honestly.
Alright, well I'll stop boring you. I'll post on here when we really get down to work. For right now we're finishing up pre-production, so stay tuned, lack thereof folks! You'll be hearing from me soon.

We're on Youtube now!
Alright guys, check it out! Becca went and made us a cool Youtube page =D You can access it right heeeeeeeeeeeere. Or here. We don't have anything up yet, but we plan to put some stuff up real soon.
I was thinking about it, and maybe I should explain what The Philadelphia Experiment's all about. I linked the wiki page on the previous entry, but I know a lot of people will think it's too lengthy.
To make a long story short, in 1943 they tried to make a ship called The USS Eldridge become invisible to radars and/or mines by canceling out its magnetic field. Rumor has it, the results of the series of tests that the ship underwent were not pretty. The ship supposedly disappeared and was transported from Philadelphia, PA to Norfolk, VA, then back again with crazy stories to go along with it. People claimed they were frozen in time, traveled through time, or some people vanished altogether. The craziest result was that some people were literally fused to the bulkheads of the ship when it was finally retrieved. Many claim that the government has done its best to cover up the story, claiming the the ship was never in Philadelphia throughout WWII, the time the tests took place (for warfare, of course). The whole idea behind the masking of the ship was to install electrically charged cables throughout the walls of the ship from bow to stern on both sides that would cancel out the ship's magnetic field when faced with the need. Magnetic fields are what are used to be detected on radars, so this would (in theory) make the ship virtually invisible.
Of course, in the story, it instead mucked everyone's junk up.
So that's the basics. There's a lot of other things that go into it, but that's all that you really need to know. I tried to condense as much of it as I could, so if it's still tl;dr, that's your problem then.
My sources are: Kinda tin-foil-hat-esque and Wikipedia. LOOOOOL
That's crazy, all that stuff with magnetic fields? When I think of magnetic fields, I think of like, magnets. On your fridge. From that creepy uncle that you never really talk to but he gave it to you while he was in vacation in Bermuda just to make it look like he thought about you and he probably stole it or found it on the ground. So it's hard for me to take that stuff seriously, but really it is! Like, magnets hold the world together and stuff. HOW DO THEY WORK?! XD I'm sorry. I had to throw that in there. But anyway, that stuff's crazy. I never even heard of it until Becca told us about the script of TPE. I wonder where she even find this crap half the time.
Well, I'm off! I'll be back on soon. I had a crazy awesome dream last night that I need to put on here. Until then, internet!!

So here it is...
Here it is, my first post as assistant director to The Philadelphia Experiment. I feel like this thing's gonna go big one day. At least, I sure hope so. I figure here is where I could write behind the scenes action, any musings, ideas, progress and whatnot for The Philadelphia Experiment. I guess I should talk about what exactly The Philadelphia Experiment is, shouldn't I?
The Philadelphia Experiment is an experimental action/comedy webseries written, preformed and published by Hybrid5 Productions. It is a fantasy story centered around the mythical "Philadelphia Experiment" and the people who have been affected by it in the modern day. It is in pre-production... and this will be our first major production.
It is often abbreviated as "TPE". It's main genres include fantasy, super hero, action adventure and comedy.
The story is told in comic book format, but should be considered a mix of different media, considering it has both live action and 2D art to express the story.
Summary
Sixty years after the supposed "Philadelphia Experiment" occurred, the descendants of the sailors aboard the USS Eldridge have begun to notice something...odd. Ava just teleported into a tree. Jack can stop time. Wayne hears voices. Oh, and Heather just made Jesus catch fire. Yeah.
Obviously concerned about what has happened to them, these individuals set out on personal missions, to either find out the truth or find out what to do with themselves. Some chose the path of evil, using their new found powers for ill. Some choose to descend as heroes upon the city. None of them know what they're doing.
But when a serious villain appears in the City of Brotherly love, the would-be heroes are forced to act and stand as protectors of justice and peace. (Did we mention that they have no idea what they're doing?) Prepare yourself, Philly. And prepare yourself, internet. This is gonna get pretty crazy.
---------------
So now you know the story. But who is this dashing young lass who is bringing you the facts? Well, my name is Dawn, and I play a gender-bending, telepathic, schizophrenic hobo named Wayne. He doesn't know whether the voices in her head are yours or its own. I am also the Assistant Director to Becca. I will also be one of the head artists behind this project. This thing is my adopted baby, basically.
Well, this is all I'll explain for now. I'm pretty tired and I kinda need to go to bed. I have work in the morning... again. Yay.
Oh! And check out our website: http://thehybrid5.com
It's still under some construction, but it explains us a bit more as well.
